Kind Skies is a four piece post-hardcore/indie rock band from Lexington, Kentucky. Lyrical content explores personal identity, celebrity, the South, and relationships. Our sound embodies the mixture of a warm late-night melody with nervous first-date energy.
The band was born out of necessity. Chris Boss (vocals/guitar) needed a creative outlet after he failed to achieve his dreams of being a literature professor. After some line-up changes, Caleb Wallace (guitar) joined to help shape the band's sound (Caleb has recently resigned). Stephen Boss (bass) moved to Lexington after being active in the Denver, CO music scene. Soon after, we talked Kristian Sheeley (drums) into putting down his philosophy books and joining the band. Despite our interests, in science, history, literature, and religion, we mostly talk about the weather after practice.
At present, Kind Skies features Chris on vocals and guitar, Stephen on bass, Mitch on guitar, and Austin Adkins on drums.
We are continually writing, recording, and playing live shows.
